PS Sorry there hasn’t been a Square gallery yet, caught up with family and visitors. However hope to get one organised on Sunday or maybe Monday next week. In the meantime do visit the links in the comments, there are some fabulous oddities out there.
“PS Sorry there hasn’t been a Square gallery yet,” –> You are organising these incredible square events where all of us can participate (for free, I might add) however we want (all in, once a week, even once a month) and then we cannot expect to have a gallery on a regular basis. How dare you?! 👩🏽⚖️😂 And yes, gargoyles are odd. Your particular one is doubly odd – a mermaid in reverse?

I know I am such a naughty person not creating a gallery!!

Gosh that header is scary 😱
The other one looks like a fisherman trying to strangle himself. Very odd.

The header is a Portuguese one, and I think the fishermen come Mermaid might be too!

Definitely odd – I always enjoy staring at gargoyles and trying to work out what they are – don’t often succeed!! I like the upside down suggestion fo this one.
I’ve gone idiomatic again today: https://travelwithintent.com/2022/02/08/lang-may-yer-lum-reek/

I always think it a shame modern houses and buildings don’t have them. The spitting image puppets would work well on parliament!!

perhaps we should start a trend and add them to our houses. Trouble with my DIY skills though is they’s probably fall off and injure someone. I do like your Parliament idea

Likewise on DIY skills! I would ask MrB but we’d be lucky if they appeared within a decade!!!
Maybe if I start a petition for the parliamentary ones 😉

If I didn’t know you scheduled your posts, I’d think you’d been inspired by Elke, Sue and me. That’s why your fellow’s looking so embarrassed? Anyway, this is the one that Sue was talking about on Saturday, I think: https://margaret21.com/2022/02/08/a-pair-of-oddballs/

Do you know that makes sense – just turned the screen upside down!
