Sadly Septimus will no longer be part of Squares, however he certainly wouldn’t have approved of being include in the theme odd! So instead how about more of those birds that I think we have all agreed are rather odd – flamingos!

The greater flamingo is the most widespread and largest species of all the flamingos. It is found in Africa, the Indian subcontinent, the Middle East, and in southern Europe. Beauty like oddness is in the eyes of the beholder with these birds!

If you haven’t already joined us February is a month of Squares, and theme is odd. So basically nearly anything goes as odd includes odd numbers, odd balls, the exceptions, follies, and even odds and ends. Just remember to keep your photographs square and it would be great if you could use the tag SquareOdds. If you want to know more here’s my challenge poster.
Cool capture Becky!

I’m actually on a little break from blogging, recovering in the hospital from Covid complications. But I love Daily Squares and felt I would drop a few comments.

I got really sad when I realized that there are more plastic flamingos in this world than live ones. Wonderful that you have captured one!

oh no, is that true? That’s so sad 😦 I really am fortunate then to be able to see wild ones daily where I am in Portugal

So here is some monkey business to go with your headless flamingo: https://judydykstrabrown.com/2022/02/02/see-no-evil-odd-squared-challenge-feb-2022/

You are always so welcoming, Becky. I am usually reminded of your prompt when i see Cee’s addition to it and follow suit. Thank goodness for her blog. Without it I would have a hard time finding my way to all of the prompts. Then every time, I publish after forgetting to “square” my photo–so have to trash my post and post again after creating a square. You would think just once I’d do it right from the beginning. Guess it is all part of the process. ;o)

Hee hee don’t worry we have all done that with the squares, and I am so grateful to Cee for helping to remind everyone about it.

Hi Becky B, Did your poor bird die? He certainly lives a twisted life. At any rater, here are my carousel pics. Not the best photos in the world, but it was odd that I found them. 🙂 Have a great day. Hope you are having some beautiful, almost spring weather. 🙂

Nope he’s still out there along with 39 mates! They just have a very bizarre sleeping position.

I’m glad to hear he’s ok. Yes, very odd! 🙂 Animals can contort in ways we can’t even dream about in our best yoga form. My cats do it every day. 🙂

oh cats are the expert! There’s a twitter account in London of one of the ministry cats, he does yoga every week and invites other cats to join him. Fantastic poses!

LOL That would be a riot. Like any of us ever could! I had a talk about that with Nutter Butter this morning. I bragged that I had thumbs and could pick up things even if I couldn’t put my leg behind my head and lick myself at the same time. (Not that I’d want to!!) He just kept licking and paid no attention to my thumbs.
