I am convinced squares alters perception of time. There’s only a week left but it feels like the month has only just started and the second gallery only appeared yesterday. With all this time passing I thought a clock, last seen in Time Square in December 2018, might be rather appropriate for my latest PastSquares entry.

By the way when I was preparing this post I spotted that back in December 2018 I was still preparing new Square posts in the middle of the challenge – quite extraordinary. These days Squares is scheduled weeks in advance, which is why this Six Word Saturday links to Debbie’s fabulous 6WS gallery rather than her latest Saturday post.
I love clock towers. In graduate school my office was in the University of Texas tower. I could never figure how a lowly grad student got the great view, but I enjoyed it. My square is of an unexpected visitor: https://fakeflamenco.com/2021/10/23/back-yard-mystery-guest-number-2/

How fabulous, I’d love to have had an office in a tower!

I would never have guessed IoW and, unlike Jude, my memory is wildly erratic so I didn’t remember this at all. Here’s mine today: https://grahamsisland.com/2021/10/23/early-morning-lights/

I can’t believe we’re almost to the end of October! And I haven’t even put up any Halloween decorations.

That is one very elegant clock tower. I couldn’t recall where it was, but the thought Osborne House did flicker through my head. I went to check on the original post and was amazed to find I was right! A fabulous house and gardens – I really must visit the IOW again.

Hard to believe that there’s only a week left. This post from Up Squares was above average in the number of likes but below average in the number of comments:

It’s proving to be quite interesting analysing the likes and comments for a month of squares.

I am just intrigued by the stats too this month – something really odd has happened this week, and then loads of comments did not appear in my notifications until 10hours after they were sent.

My likes have dropped off dramatically recently and I have been having trouble liking other people’s posts. More WordPress gremlins I suspect.

At least they fixed the bulk edit option for mass deleting spam. I’m deleting 40+ a day at the moment.

It is one of the reasons my comments have been closed on anything older that 3 months – made a huge difference

I considered that and may still do it but it’s a matter of seconds to bulk delete 20 at a time without looking at any. I may not be happy with some of the WordPress gremlins but I will admit that they’re spam filtering is very good.

I did enjoy the latest gallery and isn’t this a gorgeous clock tower. I am still mentally in Portugal though we are home now https://lizannelloyd.wordpress.com/2021/10/23/past-squares-23-springtime-at-sagres/
