This is me on day two of last month’s festival, when I was invited to sit in the past. This tiny bus originally begun life as a Model T car in 1913, but in 1921 it was converted into a small bus and provided a service between Owslebury and Winchester. Not sure how passengers would feel today about the seats in the back, but suspect most like me would be too excited about being transported in an 100 year old bus! The other bus in the photograph is also very special as that is Dennis, who celebrated 90 years this year.
Now as you may have spotted not every photograph in the gallery below is square, but that’s okay. In Squares we only require one Square photo and I have managed two in this post! I was also thinking how many other themes I could have used my two squares for. ‘In the Pink’ immediately springs to mind but also thought Lines, Roofs, Circles and Squares, Perspectives, Up and Time.

PS Today is also Six Word Saturday, so if your title is six and your image square why not link to both Debbie and myself. And if you want to experience a ride in an 90 year old bus here’s a video of Dennis and his friends around in Winchester.
This is going to be an interesting experiment. My first post was only about half as popular as the original post. Past Squares #2 goes back to Blue Squares:

Not really, it’s so flaky these days that I added data to my mobile phone package so I can use it as a WiFi hotspot.

Not good you are having to fork out extra pennies 😦

If it continues I may drop the land line internet connection and use the money to add more data to the mobile phone. The land line is only used for an internet connection.

Sounds like the most sensible way forward

Just looked at my stats and noticeable that very few yesterday clicked on links and pingbacks – have noticed that before on day one

Oh, what fun to be able to ride in one of those! I’ve been on 60 year old bus, but nothing that old! Here’s today’s square from me: https://suejudd.com/2021/10/02/the-rocky-necropolis-of-pantalica-past-sqares-2/

I visited Winchester once and had a wander round. It had a lovely ‘feel’ to it, so one day I must go back.

I so love that bus and remember that previous post. The title made me laugh when I saw the photo and the read the “disclaimer” 😀🥰

I think I’m in love with Dennis! So much character in these old buses. Imagine doing the school run in one. There is a wonderful tram museum at Crich I’m rather fond of too. Happy days!

We’re very lucky here in Winchester to have a society that has been finding them, restoring them and running them – upkeep and insurance costs are huge these days

What a beauty. That refers to you, and the bus is not bad either. ; ) Here is my past square: https://fakeflamenco.com/2021/10/02/pumpkins-that-pale-to-those-past/

Lovley bus. It has lasted longer than most modern cars 🙂 I think it would be a treat to take a ride in this.

So true – no electronics, just the basics of car running. I felt so privileged to sit in the cab – bit of a clamber to get in!
