Amazingly I am not the first person to mention Christmas in this month’s squares. Like the others when I spotted the photo I just knew I had to include it in #TreeSquare. So hope everyone will forgive me!! I probably should beg forgiveness for my title too as the first Christmas Trees wouldn’t have looked anything like this. However I didn’t want to mention Christmas in my title so thought instead I’d include a little bit of history.

PS Talking of history, I thought you might be interested to visit a part of my work life which has been taking up my non-square and sometimes my square time this month. I am both a trustee of and volunteer director for Hampshire History Trust, and every September we coordinate Heritage Open Days in this part of Hampshire. It is a FREE heritage and history festival. There will be more than 100 in-person events and online events this year, so wherever you are in the world you can join in the fun. Here’s the programme, well around 75% of the programme the remaining 25% I’ll be adding in the next few weeks!
Simple, yet elegant 😃 Lensy’s playing again today: https://jezbraithwaite.blog/2021/07/30/trees-through-a-tree-treesquare-july-30/

WOW!! That’s really awesome what you do when you aren’t doing square posts! I’m so happy you shared Hampshire History Trust and what’s coming in Sept!! I think it’s so cool all the things you can do online (since I’m across the pond and can’t attend in person!) 😍
Also, I came upon my Xmas tree photos from this last Dec and thought hmmm… That’s a tree, a very pretty decorated tree! 🤣 But chose not to share because I thought, well, I don’t know what I thought but I think it’s so fun you shared! 🎄💚🎄

That’s a lovely tree. It’s hard to believe December will be here before we know it. Your online program looks amazing. I’d love to be in Winchester in person one day for these open days.

Ah Christmas, just around the corner. Good luck with your Heritage Open Days. We have a power outage scheduled for tonight so I’m not sure when I’ll next have access to the internet, but I have scheduled a post with a pingback!

Basically overnight. They were replacing a bunch of poles I think. We survived, so that’s the main thing!

I’ve run out of recent tree squares and I was thinking of going into the archives to pull out some Christmas trees. Can’t believe we’re almost finished this July Squares. Thanks for hosting this wonderful challenge.
