Monday Portraits began in May after the last squares as a way for me to keep the blog going whilst I took a break. Cee and Margaret encouraged me to keep it going through June, and amazingly it is still going today! Well I didn’t want this fellow to miss out from being part of Squares. I have even managed to include a real tree in the background to accompany this papier-mâché masterpiece. Perfect I thought for our final Monday of #TreeSquare. Do hope you have been having as much fun as I have this month.
If you have not yet had a chance to take part, you have until Saturday to submit your #TreeSquare. The only absolute rule for joining in with Squares is that your photograph must be square in shape! Although I’d love it if you also left a comment on my post, conversations make the challenge so much fun.
This is a very cool photo. Love he paper mache tree too!!!
Here is my entry for the week.

thank you so much Cee – took 3 attempts to get this. They keep going round and round the village, so every time I didn’t get the shot I wanted we had to wait a couple of hours or actually I think it might have been 3 for them to come round again!

Nice one. That would count as public art, too, wouldn’t it?
We were in grandparents’ mode and went to the zoo over the weekend. Where I found this beauty — or rather these beauties: https://picturesimperfectblog.wordpress.com/2021/07/26/a-den-made-of-trees/

sounds like you had a fabulous weekend – and yes I did half wonder about adding it to public art, but was only visible for a day so thought maybe not

That’s a fun looking chap, Becky! In the header image, I originally thought someone had dressed up as a tree as it looks like they were leaning forwards… 😊 the image disappears when reading on the app and my imagination takes over!
My Square for today shall be along later.

I wish I knew what happened to all their floats – some of them are works of art
