This is a beautiful tree, Becky B. I’m getting cooled off just sitting here looking at the picture. I can feel the gentle breeze and smell the new-mown grass.
Today was a day of tree sanctuary. Everywhere I looked there were birds and squirrels on branches and leaves, scurrying up and down trees. I just hope we keep our trees and we don’t become a popular residential area. It seems unlikely since we are so far from areas where there’s a lot of work, but you never know.

how wonderful 🙂 and I hope so for your sake too. So many of the trees around us have disappeared because of people regarding shade as a bad thing

Now THAT is a TREE. Do you wonder who lives in it? Because I’m sure it has residents up there!

This will be my 2nd “tree” post for today, but couldn’t pass it up: I went to the Carmel Mission this morning, just to take pictures of the gardens: https://anthropologist.wordpress.com/2021/07/25/july-treesquare-challenge-13-carmel-mission/

That perspective gives a good feel for how large the tree is. Nice!
