You may recall from the #TreeSquare announcement back in June that I mentioned I could have a different tree in my garden for every day of this month’s Squares challenge. A couple of garden trees have already appeared but today I thought I share a collection. These are not every tree as we really do have over 30, but hopefully they will give you a flavour of the forest I have out there! More garden trees will follow tomorrow.

If you happened to click on the galleries you will have seen from the titles that many of the trees have been allowed to grow after self seeding. Some of the self seeds have been unexpected such as the oak. The walnut is from Mum, another self seed which I hope in 15 ish years will be bearing fruit!

What a fantastic – well – arboretum really. As Jo says, you’re saving the planet, one tree at a time. As you’ll see, my trees today don’t add up to much planet-saving: https://margaret21.com/2021/07/21/a-history-of-a-holiday-in-fifteen-trees-six/

What beautiful trees you have in your garden Becky! They look so lush and green too considering the hot summer days you’ve been having.
My Tea Tree fell over this morning and nearly took out my sunroom, as it fell – my first thought was ‘oh that will make a good photo for today’s #TreeSquare post’ 🙂 https://debs-world.com/2021/07/21/tree-narrowly-misses-falling-on-sunroom-in-the-garden-treesquare/

You and Mr. B are keeping the planet green single-handedly, if you know what I mean! How will you ever bear to leave those trees behind? So much love and devotion.

Going to be tough as we know the next people in will almost certainly take most of them out – obsession around here with having no trees in gardens

Really? I would have thought your trees would be a major selling point. None there that can be TPOd?

Our road has become a place for those who wish to create sun decks. We might eb fortunate I suppose and find a buyer who values trees – I hope so.
There are a couple I need to get TPOs on, such as the beeches and yew. Must do that

Yes, do. You know you might regret it if you don’t. And it’s not as if you have anything else to do … 😉

The gardens in my neck of the woods are fairly small but everyone has trees along each border. When we first moved in our whole garden was shadowed by massive sycamores next door. Thankfully they have all gone and we have their fig and olive trees and our gingko biloba, lilac and magnolia trees.

Jungle is definitely the right word, as usual I have lost control of it this summer!

Wow, you must have a decent sized garden. It looks gorgeous. And what is that bird on the feeder? I have birds in my post today too.

Thank you so much, and yes it is a good size. It is a male bullfinch – an irregular visitor.

You must have an enormous property, given the size of some of them. What an environmentally positive use.

It is not as big as you might think from the trees, around 60 to70 feet at back, and about 30ft wide, maybe a tad more. It is a good sized space though, and much bigger than many gardens
