Guess it is not surprising how many tree quotes and poems there are. Trees are so good for the soul, they all happen to be essential to the air we breathe. We need more trees, so if you can why not sow a seed this year. You may not sit under its shade, but future generations will be grateful to you and nature will be delighted.

If you have a moment today why not share your first (or second) #TreeSquare! July has been a delight so far thanks to all of the trees shared, and there are so many ways in which to share;
- Trees can be centre square or hidden in the background
- You could focus on one tree and share a different part of the same tree or its shadow each day
- Or if you have lots of tree photographs why not create a collage of tree squares, sorted by species or number
- Yes, it is totally up to you how you share your trees. In fact you don’t even need to share real trees!
The only absolute rule for joining in with Squares is that your photograph must be square in shape! Although I’d love it if you also left a comment on my post, conversations make the challenge so much fun.
PS If you want to read all of the Advice from a Tree by Ilan Shamir visit here.
Good advice from the trees, Becky. I see from one of your comments that you should hug trees more. If you visit me, you’ll have to be careful doing that. Many trees here have rather rough bark. Does that mean their bark is worse than their bite? 🙂 Forgive me, I just got back from a very brisk walk in temps over 90F at 6 am and I’m dripping, literally. On to my cooling entry for today:

Unfortunately today is also humid which doesn’t help. I’m standing at my laptop and sweat is running down my body. Time to go have some more water and maybe breakfast while I wait to cool down enough to make a shower worthwhile. 🙂

Oh that’s so tough. Hope eventual shower helps xx

I think we should do more listening to trees, Becky. I’m back with a baobab today, though they are rather silent entities: https://tishfarrell.com/2021/07/20/a-very-big-baobab/

Totally agree! And in this heat we need all the shade we can get from trees.

we certainly do – very thankful for our garden full of trees and all the shady spots at the moment

Even under the shade of my, admittedly not very big trees, it is too hot to sit outside. Strange for Cornwall there’s no breeze either.

That was us yesterday, today there’s a hint of breeze.

We can learn a lot from trees and nature. I’m a tree hugger, I love to feel the energy that exhales from them. https://teandpaper.ca/2021/07/20/tree-square-beautiful-surprise/

I don’t hug enough of them, I need to change that!

Yes, you need to change it. Both you and the trees deserve it 🙂

Your square reminded me of avenues of trees in a country park in Cheshire. Here’s my day 20 contribution. The first of two for today, both featuring mist but taken 30 years and a continent apart:
