Thought I’d use one of the suggestions from my original theme list, and look at a tree in more detail. I have selected the cercis siliquastrum, widely known in the English speaking world as the Judas Tree. You can find more photographs of it here in one of my Portuguese posts.

What a gorgeous picture (Wonder why it’s called the Judas Tree, hmmm).
Here are my trees: the backyard during the wildfires of last summer and fall in California.

Very odd, the flowers bloom on the trunk, then? The flowers are beautiful. 🙂

They shouldn’t do, but I think the previous year’s pruning had cause this one just to blossom where it could!!
