Many kinds of fruit grow upon the tree of life but none so sweet as friendship; as with the orange tree its blossoms and fruit appear at the same time, full of refreshment for sense and for soul.

If you are not already taking part in Squares, we’d love it if you joined us. Like the orange tree and friendship, squares are fabulous for our senses and soul. To join this amazing blogging community simply create your square post with a pingback to any of my daily square posts in July and the theme’s tag – TreeSquare.

If a daily tree square sounds daunting, it is also okay to join weekly or even just pop in occasionally with your trees. The frequency and content of your squares entirely depends on you and your blog. The only absolute rule for joining in with Squares is that your photograph must be square in shape! Although I’d love it if you also left a comment on my post, conversations make the challenge so much fun.
Lovely to have fresh oranges!

So lovely against the white walls. And then the blissful scent of orange blossom and crushed leaves.

Oranges right off the tree must be uniquely delicious. What bright & beautiful trees!
My square went in a totally different direction…

They are fabulous – very difficult to tell though when they are ripe until you pick and taste!

I can never tell when they are ripe, even at the store. I’d love to try one right from the tree!

Hopefully one of these days you will be in the right place at the right time to enjoy them straight from the tree

No more oranges for me at this time of the year as mangoes are all over the town.
Not on trees though but in fruit markets and shops.

Mangoes are MrB’s favourite fruit 🙂

Over here, mango is the king of all fruits. Widely popular among the masses and consumed throughout the season, in variety of ways.

Ripe oranges on the tree are so atmospheric. An if-only here in Lancashire, much like lilacs and lavenders are where my sweetheart is from but all the more welcome for it. I liked the quote about plants that fruit and flower at the same time. Rugosa roses and blackberries are another example – we do have lots of those growing wild together.
