Once the words ‘brightly coloured’ appeared in front of me, I immediately recalled this octopus. I first shared it with you back in 2017. So that will mean many of you have not met it before, so if you have a moment why not enjoy more photographs and learn about the artist in my original post, which you will find here.

And if you have not yet joined in with squares, why not join us today. All I ask is that your image has 4 equal sides, and that it reflects the theme of bright.. You can visit our square galleries for inspiration or use one of these words;

sparkling, polished, shining, clever, cheerful, colourful, astute, brilliant, sunny, glorious, translucent, distinct and clear

  1. That is one delightful (and bright) octopus. I popped over and read your original post thinking ‘How did I miss this?’ Sadly, I wasn’t a Squarer back then, but I’m so glad I am now 🙂

  2. WOW! I went to your original post. That is sooooo impressive! I love the look of mosaic art and appreciate it so much. The amount of work put in and this is quite a large piece. Thanks for sharing it so I could enjoy it too! 🙂

  3. Hi Becky, before I replied to your beautiful artsy octopus, I had to know what YSP was and I didn’t want to ask so that I wouldn’t sound too uncultured. You might be interested to know that in addition to Yorkshire Sculpture Park, YSP also means: Young Singers from Pennsylvania, Yemeni Socialist Party, Youth Smoking Prevention, You See Porn, and Yield Spread Premium, just to name a few. After seeing all that YSP could be, I didn’t feel so bad. Today my post is all YSP – You See Prescott. 🙂 https://tchistorygal.net/2021/04/20/brightsquares-bright-prescott-antique-cars/ Now I’m off to read a few other brightsquares. 🙂
