Once the words ‘brightly coloured’ appeared in front of me, I immediately recalled this octopus. I first shared it with you back in 2017. So that will mean many of you have not met it before, so if you have a moment why not enjoy more photographs and learn about the artist in my original post, which you will find here.
And if you have not yet joined in with squares, why not join us today. All I ask is that your image has 4 equal sides, and that it reflects the theme of bright.. You can visit our square galleries for inspiration or use one of these words;
sparkling, polished, shining, clever, cheerful, colourful, astute, brilliant, sunny, glorious, translucent, distinct and clear
Very creative, and octopus did not come to mind looking at the head only

Definitely not the usual animal choice for a sculpture!

That certainly is beautifully bright. Must have taken ages to put all those pieces in place! I’m offering some virtual bright calories today:

He’s fabulous isn’t he. Not the same artist as Susan introduced us to the other day (I had to look at your other post), but very similar. Also Gaudiesque.

No not the same, and agree very Gaudiesque. I would like to see more of her work

Would never trust an octopus. Holds you with two arms while holding a few others at the same time. 😦
Some things that start out bright end up not so bright. 😦

The mosaic tiles on the octopus remind me of scales on a butterfly or moth wing. Nothing so ornate from me for day 20:

Hard to believe we’re two thirds of the way through the mouth.

I had forgotten you’d been to YSP Becky. We should all meet there one Saturday afternoon! I wasn’t going to post today, but the bright sunrise was irresistible! https://margaret21.com/2021/04/20/catching-the-end-of-the-sunrise/

That’s wo0nderful, Becky. I expected it would be in Portugal not Yorkshire! I’m looking through a window https://somerville66.blogspot.com/2021/04/bright-squarechallenge-20.html

Yes almost too colourful for Yorkshire, but the YSP is amazing.
