Now how many of you who live in England read my title ‘the future’s bright’, and then added the words ‘the future’s orange’?! The slogan for now obsolete phone company, Orange, was last used in 2008. Amazing how advert slogans can stick in your brain isn’t it.

It is also rather amazing how many different Squares there are with the theme of bright. What a fabulous month we are having. Why not join in the fun and share a square with the tag BrightSquare and join a community that is;
sparkling, polished, shining, clever, cheerful, colourful, astute, brilliant, sunny, glorious, translucent, distinct and clear
Loving the orange Becky 🙂 🙂

I was on Orange back in the day when I had a phone on which you could text or call. Didn’t it become EE?
Mine is somewhat darker than orange, but equally as bright. I know you have seen the pingback, but here’s the link anyway.

Possibly geums, but have to admit I don’t know!!

definitely geums. I seem to have lost my orange one, I keep peering at the root, but no shoots so far. Sigh…

Thank you, thought you’d probably know. Oh dear, maybe still early,. Has been cold this year.

Well another one on the opposite side of the same tree has flowered already! And now forming new buds! This one looks quite lifeless, but I shall wait another month before confirming it is an ex-geum. As you say some things take longer to wake up.

ahhh but that’s a world away the other side of a tree!!!

hee hee, the slogan was launched in 1994 and lasted until 2008 a year or so before the company was taken over!

I remember “The future is Orange” so it must’ve been in use in the mid 1990s. A scenic square from me for day 13:

What wonderful flowers, Becky, and I love your tight crop.
As you’ve already seen, I’m in Watford – not a place I’d describe as Britain’s most scenic, but it managed to shine in the sun. https://travelwithintent.com/2021/04/13/alphabetic-brightness/

Fantastic. These remind me of Chihuly’s garden in Seattle as he used them to carry colour. I’m loving seeing all the daily brights in my Reader so, in that way it was a great choice, but in another…
