I’ve been delving into the archives quite a bit for this month’s Squares, and a few photos which normally would never see the light of day have made themselves known. I took this one at the Hawk Conservancy in Hampshire at the end of one the shows. There was still smoke in the air and so I had great difficulty in focusing on the meerkats. They were also far too focused on enjoying their snacks to pose. Still it has provided a great excuse to steal a line or two from the hymn.

It’s nice to see that the meerkats are still alive and hopefully well! I have never seen a live one except on television, so it is nice to know that they are still with us.
Today Garry is bright and beautiful, being as it’s his birthday tomorrow and he will be 79 … the last before the big eight-oh!

I think it might be when you paste a link in the comment, instead of posting the link, it posts a mini version of the entire post. This may be something new WP has decided to try. I don’t usually paste a link, but I did today because I was so late getting the post up.

Intriguing as one is a pure link, and the other just the deadline – whereas Cee’s today is the block. I am very confused how it all works!!
