We were coming to the end of our walk on the hill when we spied some winter visitors. You may recognise one of species. Think back to another shot I took of them in our garden a few weeks ago. The second bird in the header, which is also the focus of my square, I think is a fieldfare rather than redwing. It was an accident capturing it uprising from the uppermost branches. My kind of uprising this!

I do hope you are enjoying this month’s Squares as much as I am.

If you have not joined us there is still plenty of time. You can join us daily, weekly or whenever the square strikes you. The theme is up, and the only rule is that your photograph must be square in shape.

I would also love it if you left a comment as well as pingback below, and it would be fantastic if you were able to find a few minutes to visit at least one other squarer. By coming together as a community, with the tag SquareUp, we can stay upbeat.

        1. ooh how odd on the comment box not working properly, but no worries you are here and that’s what counts. So fabulous to have you part of squares again

        2. I had a harder time finding shots where I’m looking up because with a joy in macro, I’m often looking down or just out. But it was fun looking for shots and I’m trying to find some that aren’t just birds. 🙂

      1. Funnily enough, WP has placed this back on 7th January, which is probably when I uploaded the image, so it probably won’t appear in the Reader? Ah, well…. Happy Monday! 🙂 🙂

        1. Exactly!! They were about quarter a mile away hence the confusion at working out which were fieldfares and which were redwings
