We’re happy bunnies because the Redwings have returned to our beech trees. They are only here in the winter months, and for the past couple of years we have been fortunate enough to look up just at the right moment and spot them at the top of the trees. It is one of the tiny silver linings from not being in Portugal.

Even when everything is brown and grey they look fabulous in the tree. Is this brown enough though for Jude?!
By the way thank you to everyone who has left a message these past few days, and also thank you to so many of you for visiting at least one other squarer. Together, with the tag SquareUp and Jude’s Colour2021, we can be upbeat.
Aren’t they lovely! I haven’t seen them here, we seem to have starlings, though I think we had Fieldfare one winter. I love watching them zoom around the sky.

Starlings are good too 🙂 and how lovely you have seen a fieldfare, they seem to be disappearing fast from our skies and farmland 😦

You’re right. The birds are cheerful. Out with my Virtual Dog yesterday, I heard plenty of welcome-the-spring type song, despite the cold. But today, I’m joining Jo in Barcelona: https://margaret21.com/2021/01/04/an-upmarket-grocer/

I can’t say I’ve heard of Redwings but they look chirpy little chaps. 🙂 🙂 I’m staying with my theme, hon. Have a good day! https://restlessjo.me/2021/01/04/uplifting/

Yes they do like trees but they are also often in fields along with fieldfares as they enjoy worms as well as berries
