Chimneys and small turrets shaped like chimneys are a feature of Portuguese architecture. The cost of a home was once determined by ‘how many days of chimney’. The more intricate its construction, the longer it took to create and so the more expensive it became. This is one of the more simple ones, and isn’t even a chimney by the looks it! They can become an obsession for a photographer, specially in the Algarve and Alentejo.
Going back through my Portuguese photographic archives though it seems a while since I have shared many. However I did find this post from 2014 which showcases multiple kinds. And talking of kinds can you believe that squares is nearly over. Where did the month go?!
