A couple of weeks ago I was definitely kinda down, everything felt overwhelming and nothing seemed to be within my control. Life, despite the beauty and kindness of squares, was becoming kind of bleh. So MrB and I decided to turn that around by cutting down the time spent on the computer, and using the time instead to go for walks. Which is kinda why we found ourselves on Stockbridge Down. It worked wonders, as has making sure I connect with friends and also exercising daily. For other ideas and tips for a more Optimistic October visit the Action on Happiness calendar.
Your big skies, and lovely downland are definitely good for the spirits, Becky. A less liked beastie over at my place today:

I have to look into the fact that your square post didn’t show up in my feed today. I possibly have to speak to my member of parliament to look into this (I don’t want the situation to get me down): https://picturesimperfectblog.wordpress.com/2020/10/21/a-kind-of-parliament/

Really don’t know – David M had it too. Really odd

You are the third person to mention this . . . it happened once in July too. Really don’t know what causes it

😣 Since it doesn’t seem to affect everyone, I can work around. At least at the moment I know to expect a post of you every day.

Keep me posted, if it happens again I might get everyone to report it to the Happiness Engineers

This post never appeared in the reader portion of the WordPress app, I had to search for it. One Of A Kind for day 21.

hmmm really interesting Jo had this problem too. I have no idea what I have done differently. Nothing as far as I know

It’s not the first time a post hasn’t appeared. Just another WordPress bug.

I spotted yesterday evening that it was telling me on the app I had made changes and that the web and app versions were not in sync. They were the same but not in sync, so I have sync’d them and hopefully it is now in reader

That makes zero sense. The only version should be the current edit on the web. The app should be showing the current web version, not whatever version it feels like showing. Maybe that’s why it keeps showing the wrong photos some of the time.

I know can’t get my head around, when I looked at times on both versions they were the same and the content same too. I have since checked a couple of others on app and spotted they too were out of sync. really weird, but as you say might explain the photo thing too

Now the app won’t let me like your square for today and a couple of other posts. It really does seem to be going downhill fast.

I only occasionally use the app, going to be even less likely now!

I’m using it less and less. I’m close to uninstalling it.

Maybe give up on it for a while, you never know might be better by the time you reinstall!!

This one is definitely a remedy for us all, Becky. I’m glad it worked well. Rain for a few days now I think (glad I rushed out and cut the lawn at the beginning of the week!)

And Jo’s comment on the dragon wasn’t as exheighting as it sounded – just that I vanished from her reader!

I went for a lovely long Autumn walk yesterday too – thankfully before the rain! It makes you feel so much better to be out in nature . https://lizannelloyd.wordpress.com/2020/10/21/kindasquare-21/

There’s nothing like a walk in the fresh air to help things feel better and to recharge batteries. I’m glad this outing did the trick for you.
