Continuing yesterday’s theme of finding the best place in which to stand, I thought I would share a series of photographs of Autumn croci in Portugal. Some of you may recall one or two of these from a 2018 Portuguese post, if so you will spot I didn’t share back then the ones that really don’t work as examples of a photographic artistry!
The countdown to the end of July Squares has definitely begun. Can’t quite believe it will be finished at the end of this week. If you haven’t yet taken part there is still plenty of time! The theme is perspective, and the only rule is that your photograph(s) must be square in shape. Find out more here.

Great examples, Becky! Love the bee.
Here’s mine for today: https://outofmywritemind.com/2020/07/26/columbine-be-mine/

What I love about photography is the opportunity to try odd perspectives. I’ve been known to lay in the dirt to get that one elusive shot. 😉

Lovely delicate colours and seed-heads. These wild ones look smaller than those you see over here.

They were pretty small, as usual failed to measure myself at time but looking them up in book looks like petals 35mm in length

Beautiful photos! Flowers are always my favourite subject. And yes! It’s the last week of July, I can’t believe I’m keeping up with the Squares! It has been lots of fun!

These look so etheral – the bee looks like a brute in comparison. Lovely sunshine, too.
