A couple of weeks ago on my Portuguese blog I shared the view from our Porto apartment. Today I thought I’d share another view of Porto. It is a city full of perspectives.

I am hoping by now everyone has realised this month’s challenge enables you to share pretty much anything. So if you haven’t yet joined in, who not give it a go. The only absolute rule for joining in is that your main photograph must be square in shape, but here are a few more hints just in case;
- Art – the method by which solid objects drawn or painted on a flat surface are given the appearance of depth and distance.
- Geometry – the way that objects appear smaller when they are further away and the way parallel lines appear to meet each other at a point in the distance.
- Point of View – a particular way of considering (looking at) something or the capacity to view things in their relative importance
- Vista – seeing something over distance or time
Porto is one of the places on my bucket list. I’m back in France at a deserted chateau. https://somerville66.blogspot.com/2020/07/palace-for-princess-or-haunted-castle.html

You’ll love it such a fabulous city, but best out of season.

Such a great city isn’t it Sue. Maybe one of these days we could all meet there. Wouldn’t that be fabulous.

it would be wonderful to explore all those streets.

There’s so many of them, but all twisty, narrow and generally short so you can’t really get lost.

The trick is to visit out of season as it gets very hot and busy.

I would love to see Porto one day. And I am getting excited it seems there’s a streetart there.

There is a lot of street art here, and some of it is jaw dropping.

A nice view of the city, Becky. It actually looks quite compact!
My post today is looking forward as well: https://wp.me/pVkLb-55j.

Thanks Tom, and yes it is incredibly compact. You can walk almost everywhere, great city.

That’s handy. Footy even! 🙂
I imagined myself walking along those streets, so it doesn’t seem too exhausting!

What a fantastic place to live. We only managed to spend two days there a few years ago but absolutely loved it.

Up until Covid19 it was becoming busier and busier with tourists, and I know locals were struggling with property costs. It is though a fabulous city
