Why not join us for Squares. I am sharing a square daily, you can do the same or join us weekly or even just pop in occasionally with your squares. The frequency of your squares depends on you and your blog.
The theme is Perspectives, and the only rule is that your photograph must be square. Here are a few ideas we shared at the start.
- Art – the method by which solid objects drawn or painted on a flat surface are given the appearance of depth and distance.
- Geometry – the way that objects appear smaller when they are further away and the way parallel lines appear to meet each other at a point in the distance.
- Point of View – a particular way of considering (looking at) something or the capacity to view things in their relative importance
- Vista – seeing something over distance or time
Now that’s one towering bridge!
Here’s my square for today: https://outofmywritemind.com/2020/07/14/a-stand-of-lodgepole-pine/

A miracle of engineering, but I am not convinced worms look up at bridges. Whenever I have seen signs for worm crossings they have all been much lower down.
I had a similar problem in today’s post: https://susanrushton.net/2020/07/14/bees-foraging-flowers/

That really is a long way up, from a worm! I’m looking through a door in Portugal today. https://somerville66.blogspot.com/2020/07/squareperspectives-day-14-light-shade.html

It’s a great bridge, and don’t those ships look tiny?

Thanks Jez, it is such a great bridge isn’t it. I’ve read somewhere they plan to build a walkway across the top – now that would offer different views!

I hadn’t heard that, but yes, the views would be spectacular 😃
