Although it does feel quite different when you get close up and personal. What kind of beach do you love best? Mine is empty and sandy, with a falling tide and slightly windswept. Others may prefer rock pools, or perhaps one with umbrellas and comfy seats. Guess it all depends on your perspective!

I love all beaches but particularly winder ones with shells or pebbles and I love the sound of the Atlantic ocean. You’ve inspired me for tomorrow but I’m not sure whether you will like my choice for today! https://somerville66.blogspot.com/2020/07/squareperspectives-8-graffiti-aspect.html

I’m not much of a beach person ,in Summer, but love to hear the waves in the fall and during a storm.

That sounds lovely and your picture is very evocative. My idea of a beach was formed by summer holidays at Llandudno: a wide, sandy beach with a crabbing pier at one end and large rocks and pebbles at the other. Dramatic high waves at times and a broad, calm expanse at others. It was rarely empty though!

oooh a long time since I was in Llandudno. My grandparents loved it there, in fact that’s where their ashes are buried 🙂

I prefer a beach when the tide is in, so I can hear the sound of the waves. I’m not a lover of sand sticking to me, so I guess I’d paddle up the shoreline.

I’m with you, Becky – sandy and a shortage of other people 🙂
But hard to find 😦
And mine is not such a natural beauty: https://travelwithintent.com/2020/07/08/make-it-happen-in-rotterdam/

You need to come to the Algarve out of season – empty then!

Your little glimpse of beach looks very enticing. 🙂 I can’t decide which is my favourite type, though it would definitely be a sandy one, and preferably with some shells. A gentle breeze would be nice and a water’s edge to paddle along is ideal.

It’s a glorious beach in the Algarve, and out of season so quiet but yet still warm enough for that ideal paddle!
