Although it does feel quite different when you get close up and personal. What kind of beach do you love best? Mine is empty and sandy, with a falling tide and slightly windswept. Others may prefer rock pools, or perhaps one with umbrellas and comfy seats. Guess it all depends on your perspective!

        1. Crikey the Faroe Islands – had a friend stay with me a while whose boyfriend was on those Islands. She asked if she could call him – as I had a vague idea that they were ‘just off’ the Scottish coast I said of course. Then the phone bill came in a few months later!!

    2. My kind of beach used to be a long expanse with groynes, or perhaps a rock cove with caves….ah, yes, those Hebridean beaches! Thanks

        1. Today’s the first day for me when time has gone slow, usually I get to this point and wonder where the day has gone given how little I’ve usually done!
