Although it does feel quite different when you get close up and personal. What kind of beach do you love best? Mine is empty and sandy, with a falling tide and slightly windswept. Others may prefer rock pools, or perhaps one with umbrellas and comfy seats. Guess it all depends on your perspective!
The beach I’d like to be on right now is anything Hebridean! Which would pretty much fit your description.

I recently read posts from people who had been to St Kilda and to the Faroe Islands. New goals! A girl can dream.

Crikey the Faroe Islands – had a friend stay with me a while whose boyfriend was on those Islands. She asked if she could call him – as I had a vague idea that they were ‘just off’ the Scottish coast I said of course. Then the phone bill came in a few months later!!

I found that out after the bill arrived!!! She gave me a £5 as a contribution, which I thought was really generous. Then the bill came and I realised I need a mortgage!

My kind of beach used to be a long expanse with groynes, or perhaps a rock cove with caves….ah, yes, those Hebridean beaches! Thanks

Living right splat in the middle of Germany (and having lived right splat in the middle of South Africa) I am not fuzzy. No preference. Just beach would be nice!

My kind of beach too. Though I do love a rock pool. I’m afraid you’re sharing today again, but as it happens, my square shows the lovely Zoë and her perspective on a sandy beach: https://margaret21.wordpress.com/2020/07/08/summer You’ll be back as the star f the show tomorrow – promise!

I like an empty beach with the waves being the only sound, Becky… oh, and a gentle breeze as well, if it’s a little too warm!

Today’s the first day for me when time has gone slow, usually I get to this point and wonder where the day has gone given how little I’ve usually done!

I’d love for time to go slow for me… I’m back in the office now (in the mornings) so I have half of what I didn’t have before!

MrB just said he’s experiencing the same as me so maybe time has slowed in our house. I’ll try and send my slow day your way.
