Not really considered before how delphiniums look before they are in full flower! They are such a gorgeous flower. Please don’t ask me which type they are. I have so far considered Black Knight, Magic Fountains, Excalibur Dark Blue Black Bee and varying hybrids but I haven’t got a clue! Maybe Jude, Susan or Margaret can offer a gardener’s perspective?
And talking of perspectives a huge thank you to everyone who has joined us already. As of yesterday there were more than 50 of us taking part, and the variety of perspectives has been inspirational. If you have not yet created a square, here’s a reminder of how this month’s blogging challenge works;
I am sure many of you will be up bright and early as I was in my first hint and I am hoping everyone will be able to put a smile on our faces and look on the bright side of life as I did in my second. Or maybe April will be the month when you indulge us with a month of bright and colourful squares. As you can see there is so much we can do with the theme of bright!
Hopefully today’s post will inspire plenty of bright ideas. I will probably share more bright synonyms and phrases before my opening square on the 1st April, as I really want you all to join me again. January was such fun!
As always during a square month I will share squares daily. If daily sounds daunting, don’t worry. It is okay to join us weekly or even just pop in occasionally with your squares. The frequency of your squares depends on you and your blog. The only absolute rule for joining in from 1st April is that your photograph must be bright and square!
The theme for July is perspectives, and your Square could contain;
- Art – the method by which solid objects drawn or painted on a flat surface are given the appearance of depth and distance.
- Geometry – the way that objects appear smaller when they are further away and the way parallel lines appear to meet each other at a point in the distance.
- Point of View – a particular way of considering (looking at) something or the capacity to view things in their relative importance
- Vista – seeing something over distance or time

Aren’t they beautiful flowers. I’ve never tried to grow them. Maybe I should go to the nursery and buy some seedlings.

I’ve only tried once and the slugs found them! However seeing these again today in all their glory is encouraging me to try again next year

You just keep surprising me with your interpretations of ‘perspective’ Becky! Mine is a rather classical perspective shot

Surprising myself some days too! I think my first week of this month’s squares is a bit all over the place whilst I try to inspire those who are struggling with perspectives.

Such a beautiful delphinium Becky. I do hope I’m not the Margaret down as a gardening expert, because I’m just … not. Here is my promised post from a Buddhist temple: https://margaret21.wordpress.com/2020/07/05/perspective-in-a-temple/

They’re a lovely thing, Becky! I love them and hollyhocks and all the old traditional cottage gardeny plants. Reminds me of a few lovely gardens we visited ‘back when’, in the UK. 🙂 🙂 Happy Sunday!

So do I – unfortunately none in my garden. One of these years when we finally move I intend to rectify this!
Hope Sunday is a better day than yesterday xxx

It’s good to look at things from a different perspective, Becky.
I’m kind of doing that with my latest post: https://wp.me/sVkLb-umbrella

True. We could see things from their perspective… or maybe not! 😂
