I’m definitely a useful weed convert now – partly due to you, and partly because I see how much the birds love my flowery lawn. Great shot of the dandelion clock, Becky – a great view of that clever natural design
Yay! Just been reading something about how every little action creates ripples, which in turn creates positive change for the climate – so wonderful to learn that I’ve created a ripple with my weed love!
I’m a bit of a mess one way and another this week, Becky, so I won’t be hanging out with the ladies. Are you having your ‘garden soirée’? I hope the sun shines on you. Much love 🙂 🙂 https://restlessjo.me/2020/07/04/six-word-saturday-362/
I have a similar photo to use, Becky, but luckily not today! They do take a good photograph, don’t they?
Here’s my latest square: https://wp.me/pVkLb-51Z.
Or a lot of upcoming work for the gardener… 😉
My father is on a never ending war with the dandelions in his garden, I have given up that fight in mine. 🙂
Oh, I love a dandelion clock – and here’s mine for today: https://suejudd.com/2020/07/04/perspective-4-a-cats-perspective/

Love the contrasting notions we have of one little plant. I leave the yellow flowers but try to catch the “clock” in my hand and dispose of it. In total contrast my choice today is medieval French architecture https://somerville66.blogspot.com/2020/07/squareperspectives-day-4-perspective-in.html

I know! Never imagined this outcome. Been amazing, and the best bit is that so many new lovely friends, such as yourself, have resulted 😍

A dandelion, something to tell the time with! One blow is one o’clock and so on. Did you use to do this?

I wonder where that story came from

oooh now that’s an excellent question. So far I have dated it back to the Victorian period, but as of yet not found why and where!
