roof of the world

A setting sun on top of the world I thought a rather nice way to say goodbye to April and #SquareTops. Thank you all for being such amazing participants. You have all been such fabulous and innovative squarers, and a few of you occasionally rectangular too!

The final ‘tops’ gallery will hopefully appear on Monday, and the theme for July squares is scheduled to be announced in June. In the meanwhile take care everyone, and I hope you, your family, friends and neighbours continue to stay safe and well.

  1. What a perfect finish. Thanks again for being the hostess with the mostest during this most unusual month we have all experienced and could never have imagined. I have enjoyed popping in to visit others in the Square Community although I have struggled this month to visit and comment as much as I would like. I leave you with something which caught my eye a couple of weeks ago: https://wp.me/pL5Ms-5bV
I am sure you must now have square eyes!

    1. Has been a strange month hasn’t it, Squares, despite the square eyes, has been a rather lovely way to connect and retain a sense of normality!

Be there in a moment to see what caught your eye. Typically for me my final day of squares also happens to be a very busy one workwise!

  2. This is a poignant shot to end with. Thanks so much for hosting, Becky. I never really knew what ‘Room at the Top’ meant, other than literally, but I think I do now!
    Here’s my post for today:

I ought really to have titled it ‘Almost a rainbow but in the wrong order and with some colours missing’, but stretching the point has come to be one of the happiest parts of this challenge.

      1. Especially the squares. I sometimes find myself eyeing them up suspiciously thinking ‘I’m sure that’s a bit taller than wide’. Some scenes with strong vertical lines look off square even when they are square.

  3. After my post yesterday not hitting quite the top – what else can I do but go beyond: https://picturesimperfectblog.wordpress.com/2020/04/30/simply-over-the-top/
Over the top and looking forward to July (when I hopefully have a lot less time than during April) and the next square challenge. I will miss searching for squares (and paging dictionaries). Thank you for this challenge and all the effort you put it, and not least your photographic talent! See you around … See you square!

  4. Another great month of squares, Becky. It was particularly good this month as it helped us remain cheerful at a difficult time. Let’s hope the future is looking a bit more positive when we get back to squares in July.
I managed to stick with 2020 photos for 50% of my squares, but today I’m doing a quick archive ramble: https://travelwithintent.com/2020/04/30/tops-off/
Thanks again for the great hosting!

    1. Thanks Debbie, it has certainly helped me stay sane this month. And fingers crossed July is looking more positive, or at least the future more definite!
