This European White Stork looks as joyous as I felt yesterday. I had such an amazing day thanks to all your lovely messages and squares. Thank you for making it so special and memorable. As promised I will be letting you know the outcome of yesterday’s puzzle but first here’s a treat for you, a revisit of their flying antics last year.
By the way if you are still here and have not gone off to watch the fascinating video, you might want to make a note there’s only a week left of Squares.
I know only a week! Where has this month gone? Squares always affects time, but because of everything else I somehow thought it would go slower this month. If you have not yet joined us though there is still time. The theme is top and the main tag is #SquareTops. The only rule is your photo must be square which means you need to remember only four equal sides make a rectangle a square!
Now I promised to let you know the outcome of yesterday’s puzzle. Quite a few of you got it right – Mum was the lovely girl on the swing and also with the other children.
Great photo and such interesting behavior. The video was amazing, survival of the fittest and al that. Here’s my square today: https://grahamsisland.com/2020/04/23/the-top-of-two-step/

oh I am so glad you watched the video Graham. We were so fortunate to have a ringside seat from our balcony. Just glad I am not a stork!!

We like to think of nature as all warm and fuzzy, but it can be pretty brutal at times.

Certainly can be . . . the robins this afternoon in our garden were quite vicious to the dunnocks!

I remember the birds from last year. Are they nesting again?

Apparently they are, which is great news.

I think Mr Stork is going to be very busy in nine months time!
Meanwhile let’s celebrate St George today and this glorious spring we are having!

I hope he doesn’t get a crick in his neck! That’s a lot of neck to get a crick in. I’m glad you had a lovely day yesterday, and pleased I got the puzzle right. Based entirely on the apparent age of the photographs – the likeness is very strong.

They swing it back there too with complete abandon!
And yes I thought afterwards I should have probably made them all sepia. 🙂

A wonderful stork photo! When I’m out and have the luck to see storks they just stand out gravely or they stalk (sic!) the meadow.
