I thought today I’d have another look at our fifth idiom – top and tail. Remember this one is encouraging you to play around with word combinations such as top dog, top stitch, top full, top line, top fruit, top hat, top secret, top knot, top drawer and top dollar. You could even go for words that include the word top, there are surprisingly quite a few out there such as;
- Utopia
- Topple
- Triceratops
- Topiary
- Stopwatch
- Toponym
- Doorstop
- Topographical
- Autopilot
- Topee
- Octopus
- Topically
See the imagination can go even wilder! I can’t wait to collate the next gallery, in the meanwhile though just remember the main tag is #SquareTops and your post must have a square photograph!
Top of the morn to you, Becky.
I’m liking the look of Beja 🙂 And I’ve gone with a similar angle, but a bit hazier. https://travelwithintent.com/2020/04/09/topped-with-a-twirl/

Wow, you are a bit dangerous when armed with a dictionary! What our posts today have in common is that they share everyday details that are easy to overlook because they are always there:https://wp.me/p2owKx-1A2

Autopilot? Octopus? Cabin fever has got to you, lass, but I love it. 🙂 🙂 As it happens I do have a Triceratops and might dust it off. 🙂 I love the photo. Is it in Olháo? Have a great day, and don’t exhaust yourself!

Hee hee, it was something that Jude said that inspired to me to get out the dictionary again – can’t wait to see your Triceratops 😀
No not Olhão, somewhere else you have been very recently. Beja!

I thought you must have been in the dictionary, but even so they take some sourcing. Clever you! 🙂 🙂 Next time I’m there I’ll be looking up all the time. 🙂

No clever words from me today… and sheep aren’t renowned for their cleverness either: https://margaret21.wordpress.com/2020/04/09/top-sheep-2-or-two-top-sheep/.
And I’ve been looking for topiary since this started. None round here 😦

Good luck finding a Triceratops, they’ll all still be hibernating. ☺

Good to know as i´m out of posts after today… 🙂 I think I may have to go out hunting for “tops”.
Such a summery feeling in your photo, I would love some warmth know, but at least it is on the plus side during the days. 🙂

Do hope it helps . . .there are even more out there once you start looking 🙂
We are enjoying a lovely warm spring here, which is lovely for those of us with gardens./ Just feel sorry for anyone in a flat without a balcony and all the restrictions. Makes it an even bigger challenge.

You know I would love to get into the city while no one is around a get some pictures. But we are stuck in the house and Boston is pretty bad. So I’m enjoying your rooftop 🙂 I’m still flying the squirrels.

Interesting photo, with lots of detail to examine. I was wondering if we could use words with top in them. That really extends the photo catalogue. 🙂 I’m off to post my entry for today.
