Sue and I were due to meet up today for our regular lunch date in Guildford, however a certain virus had other plans. Fortunately thanks to the internet we’ve been able to catch up a couple of times via Zoom, and today in honour of our cancelled meeting I thought I’d share a reminder of our last outing to Guildford. Here’s to friendship.

My pic also happens to have a bird on top of a tree, and a path on top of a bank! There was even a Royal keep, with a room at the top, but I couldn’t make it square.

Great images, Becky 👏 Your next meeting with Sue, will be all the better owing to the currently enforced isolation 😃 Here’s mine:

I bet the Guildford people are relieved – their peace and quiet will not be disturbed by the noisy women!
That’s a lovely square – it works well with its diagonals. And it’s very annoying when photos refuse to go square!

I really should have gone down to the lower path and taken it, but Sue and I were feeling hungry!

Wasn’t Guildford looking pretty? Sue will love this, and I’m sure you’ll chat later. 🙂 🙂 Mine is more mundane today. https://restlessjo.me/2020/04/07/photographers-on-top/

Lovely photos, I have been using WhatsApp more to keep in touch with friends. I am grateful for both friends and technology. Here is my response for today, a wall I was actually interested in seeing:https://wp.me/p2owKx-1zR

So sorry you two can’t meet in person, but I’m glad you can do a Zoom instead. I’m really not getting on with video-linking. I feel as uncomfortable as I would in an interview for a job I know I’m not going to get.

Look at all those daffodils. So pretty! Going square is not always the easiest thing to achieve. 🙂

And a castle, too! Or a tower, anyway. The yellow flowers are beautiful, reminding me that spring will really be here in another month. Or two.

It’s such a shame the keep is the only left of the castle, unusually for English castles this once wasn’t destroyed by the civil war it just fell into disrepair
