Apparently bookworms do too! However it wasn’t the hat which led me to share this one today, it was the amazing cake topping. Isn’t it fabulous. Created by a friend of mine for MrB’s birthday a few years ago; just hoping there will be enough to go round with more than thirty of us already here for Squares!

Oh I so want that cake!!

So do I! Unfortunately all gone now, but do have smell of freshly baked bread wafting up from kitchen so maybe we can have that instead 🙂

I love this one, Becky! When I first saw the photo, I thought it was a game of some kind – never realised it would be a cake! Fabulous!
My top photo today is from years ago https://wp.me/pVkLb-4PB

You have indeed. I’m a terrible cook / baker. I’m good at making messes though.

This has given me a top smile, Becky. Have to say I’ve never seen a worm looking so smart.
I’ve returned to a spot of sanity today, with a shot from my normality archive! https://travelwithintent.com/2020/04/03/treetop-walkway-kew-gardens-london/

What fun! I used to make interesting cakes for my children’s birthdays, fondant icing is so useful, but oh, so sweet! I can’t eat the stuff at all now. And I always used royal icing on a Christmas cake 🙂
Today I’m going to a place high up above a pretty lake https://wp.me/pL5Ms-5b1

Yes, I really enjoyed our week there, walking around the lake and exploring the area. I don’t think I ever did a post just about the castle, so I might dig some photos out of the archive and do one. It was lovely up there.

oooh do . . . . we could also do with a castle adventure 😀

I seem to have neglected castles! I have a few I was going to write about but never did!

PS You are much better than me, never really got my head around fondant icing. More of a butter and royal myself.

And you really cut and ate this marvel of a cake?! Wonderful.
I’m also into a culinary square today but rather drinking than eating. I am not a fan of selfies but in the current situation there was no one near that could take a photo of me or vice versa: https://picturesimperfectblog.wordpress.com/2020/04/03/bottle-top/

Took a long time to eat the bookworm, and not sure we would have done if our Godson had not been so insistent we did!!

I thoroughly approve of that cake! Not sure if this will post correctly, but we had books on the cake when our library closed. I ate the books but the little PC is not edible and sits on my desk at home to this day!

oh I love this so much, and how fabulous you still have the PC. I wonder how many kids today would recognise that as a PC!!

I know! Just think of all the symbols that are still used to represent technology – phones with wee aerials, computer disks to mean save.
