Our current storms reminded me of some waves I was watching in December 2018. In fact some of you may remember them too; when I shared how timing was everything. We fortunately had left the pier by the time the waves got this big, unlike the person you can just see dashing away along the pier. It does scare me the risks people take.
In case you were pondering. . . . yes, I have made up a word as we approach the halfway point in Squares. Originally I was going to call this winter sunlight but you inspired me in yesterday’s gallery to be even more creative. So I’ve come up with Wavelight! Although having said that there is a European company called Wavelight, and if you google wavelight lighthouse you get some great images of waves crashing into lighthouses. So maybe it is a word after all!
At last! You are doing a made-up word! Mine is mundane word wise: https://suejudd.com/2020/01/15/flight-2/

I can’t decide if I am seeing a hand from the sea trying to grab whatever it can get or a regal lady with a coat made of white plumes and a stand up collar … great shot!

A madman! But I love the shot.
I can watch them forever, especially with my camera.
As for the word, I like it, but I’m now going to have a strong coffee to recover from such open breaching of the rules!!
I’ve gone with a sturdy (some may say boring) word – streetlight https://travelwithintent.com/2020/01/15/wonky-in-real-life/

If we say it’s a word, then wavelight is a word Becky… Beautiful photo. Makes one wonder how the lighthouse survives such an onslaught, time and time again. Here’s mine

Brilliant shot. I wouldn’t have spotted the escapee if you hadn’t pointed him/ her out. Hope you weren’t in a similar position to take the photo!

My friend who was standing beside me didn’t spot him either . . . and no we were fine. Bizarrely the waves were only really rough at the end of the pier
