Moonlight

As we said farewell to our newly wed friends we were immediately struck by the light. I thought we would need to walk back with torchlight, but instead we had a very bright moon. Not the greatest of photographs as I only had my phone, but you get the idea!

  1. Photographing the moon is not the easiest of things, because of all that flare. This gives the impression of that light beaming down on you, as it was last night in my bedroom which is probably why I couldn’t get to sleep! I did take a photo of it a few days ago though as it rose, so no flare, and with my phone too, maybe I’ll risk posting it. No moon today from me, just a little bit of temptation: https://wp.me/pL5Ms-4Y3

    1. MrB is really good at moon shots, but of course with a camera not a phone . . . and when we got back to the apartment we were so low in the valley we couldn’t see it!

        1. That’s great news! I hope it’s as heavy as the stuff that’s falling on my house right now!
BTW Brian, I don’t see links to your post? Are you linking to somewhere else on Becky’s site? Maybe pop your link in your comment too.

        2. Yes not heavy just gentle showers but I fear not much but it will help the garden and wash the leaves.
I often schedule so not many comments as well. I am always a day ahead so my links are the previous post of Beckys. I’ll see what I can do Jude

      1. It’s not usually a problem as I normally have a few posts ready to go just in case. I was planning on using moonlight as I have two different squares for the month.

        1. And seeing Hannah’s Pelican in flight I’m considering a few consecutive days of birds (and maybe insects) in flight. I have so many options that I can’t decide what to use.

        2. Each time I start trying to decide on what flight shots to use I find more. I didn’t realise I had so many bird species in flight, I could do a week of just gull and tern species. And as I typed this I remembered a shot of a North American Belted Kingfisher in flight.

        3. It could get a bit repetitive. Now I’m wondering if I should limit myself to a sequence of, say five, Monday to Friday in the middle of the month.
