You may recognise this fellow from July Blues, he’s a skimmer and had taken up home in my mum’s pond for a few days whilst he waited for the females to turn up. He couldn’t resist the camera, unlike the females who never settled. They were too busy mating and laying eggs for me to get a good photograph of their bright yellow lines, but I did manage a ‘not bad’ shot of one female mid flight creating lines in the pond.

By the way the WordPress gremlins have reappeared, as they so often seem to do around this point in the challenge. Pingbacks are hiding and even worse some of you have ended up in spam. I have hopefully rescued everyone but if you have shared a comment or square in the past week and noticed I have not replied or left a comment, then let me know. I would hate to miss any of you.
WOW what a great shot!

Always a delight to see one of these, never mind actually get a good photo! I am back with my last globe today. Crazy to think this exhibition was over ten years ago and
wethey are still debating whether or not climate change is real!!https://wp.me/pL5Ms-4L1

He was such a poser really wasn’t difficult . . however all of the others were a challenge!
and yes I have this horrid feeling that in another 10 governments will still be debating 😦 party and self interests seem to dominate politics these days

I think the WP pranksters are about. 😦 But that’s a wonderful shot with the watery ripples. Peaceful Sunday? 🙂 🙂

Feel a bit woozy round the edges. Alcohol, guest overdose or a virus- not sure. 🙂 🙂 Probably walking Todos a Caminhar at Luz this morning to say hi to everyone and get some air in my lungs then a gentle boat ride to the Ilha when her and him have surfaced. 🙂 Or there’s always croquet…

This is the first time in a while I’ve seen you on reader.
We call those insects Dragon flys. They’re the only insect that can fly backwards. Great shots of him and her.

We also call them dragonflies, apparently skimmer is a type.
And interesting I’ve just appeared on your reader, definitely something up with WP at moment 🤔
