Which lines caught your eye first? It was the ones on the blanket for me, they made me think of staves. And that was before I realised the objects beside them were musical instruments. All of the instruments (but unfortunately not the blanket) were for sale at a wonderful fair we attended in Alcoutim. The lovely man selling them was so enthusiastic that I felt very guilty not buying an instrument. However I would never be able to create the music he could!
This is a very inviting scene. 🙂

I didn’t realize those were instruments until I read your commentary. What a beautiful setting.

We were so intrigued . . . .and the village where the fair takes place is one of our favourites

I saw the bamboo vertical lines first… looks like I read a picture from left to right.

You’re in good company, Elaine did the same 🙂
and they are not bamboo. All reeds . . . very big reeds in the Algarve! Make great walking sticks too

Reeds! I wondered if bamboo was right as I wrote it down, but couldn’t think of anything else they might be.

Understandable first choice as they are so big.

Thank you so much Cee, one of those moments when all you needed to do was point the camera!

Fascinating photo – with “hidden” instruments and the blanket that fits in so well.

The blanket is very much like our iconic Hudson Bay blankets.

I am sure you would have purchased the blanket had it been on sale.

Lovely stripes there, like you I wouldn’t be able to create the music. I couldn’t even get to grips with a recorder at school, I used to pretend I was playing it!
Today mine is slightly odd, but there is a line of sorts…

Odd is good, although maybe not the odd I made when I tried to learn the trombone!!
