  1. What a beautiful spot, Becky. The cloisters of churches often hold a few surprises, but I think this is the prettiest I’ve seen (virtually).
    I really must add the Alentejo to my list for next year.

  2. You can buy imitations of those tiles still, today. Not as beautiful as the originals, of course, but still lovely. If i had money to redo my kitchen, I would put those tiles up behind the sink and by the stove. Now THAT would be romantic!

    1. There are still a couple of places in Portugal that make them the traditional way . . . like you we’d love to have the money to put them in our kitchen!
