The theme for July is ‘blue‘, and I suggest we stay connected on our square adventures by either;
- Sharing a photographic square which is a ‘Bolt from the Blue’ – something unexpected or surprising
- Or one that explores ‘Into the wide blue yonder‘ – sky, sea or maybe a location that is appealingly unknown and mysterious
- Alternatively keep it simple with ‘Blue‘ – whether that’s azure, cobalt, sapphire, cerulean, navy, ultramarine, indigo, or turquoise
Whatever you decide to do, please remember there is a rule if you want to part of the Square Gang and be sure your squares make into the gallery.
Is this some sort of mine?

we are fascinated by it . . .but of course we only see it in the winter months as always back in England when the salt is being collected.

I am excited to try out your challenge! Blue is a favorite color and a favorite photography subject of mine. I’ll start with one, hoping I’m on the right track.

On the outskirts of Olhão da Restauração, a fishing town in the Algarve, Portugal. For six months of the year we live just a step or two away from these saltpans.

It was that evening . . but other evenings the sound of traffic, the town dump and diggers on the salt pans dominate!

Racking my brain (hard work) on where we’ve seen salt pans.
