It is day two of the great square adventures into the July blue yonder and I have managed to combine all three. The appearance of the woodpecker was a fabulous surprise and he/she had a wonderful blue sky behind.

And just in case anyone missed the reminders or day one here are the essentials for this month’s photography challenge. The theme for July is ‘blue‘, and my suggestions for how we might stay connected on our square adventures are as follows;
- Your photographic square could be a ‘Bolt from the Blue’ – something unexpected or surprising
- Alternatively why not explore ‘Into the wide blue yonder‘ – sky, sea or maybe a location that is appealingly unknown and mysterious
- Or if you prefer keep it simple with ‘Blue‘ – whether that’s azure, cobalt, sapphire, cerulean, navy, ultramarine, indigo, or turquoise
- And if you’re feeling particularly adventurous try to combine two of these, or maybe even all three!
Whatever you decide to do, please remember there is a rule if you want to part of the Square Gang and be sure your squares make into the gallery.
Your main photograph must be square!
Please also don’t forget to pingback to one of my posts rather than the home page and do use #Blue or #JulySquares.

I’ll comment here, so much easier than on blogspot, sorry. If in future you see me liking your comment here, it means: I like your post. And I do like this blue sculpture, it’s so much fun!

I love woodpeckers with their red caps, looking a little bit like catholic cardinals 🙂 Truly, a small miracle out of the blue.

So far I’m sticking with Toronto for this challenge.

That’s all right as long as it’s John Coltrane and not Julie Andrews!
