You might need to use your imagination for this one to work out why I have included it in this month’s spiky challenge as it wasn’t the beaks, talons or whatever they are managing to balance on!

Pointy beaks, sharp talons and jagged bricks

    1. They do . . .their nest is opposite so this is their hunting perch, and in the past few weeks two storks have started to nest above!

        1. We’re delighted as for the past 6 years we have watched a lone stork appear on the chimney with no nest, so if they are successful this year it will be amazing 🙂

  1. Well if it is not the spike the kestrels are perched on, nor their beaks or talons then it has to be the bricks! I am guessing the metal band is to try and keep it stable, but someone surely needs to go up there with a bucket of mortar! I realise that on a phone or tablet it is easy to enlarge a photo, but on a computer everything on the page is affected by zooming in. Why not allow us to click on the image to see it at full size?
And on that grumpy note, I am off out into the rain… sigh!

    1. oh dear Jo was right the grumpiness is coming out!! It must be because they are singular photos as when I create galleries there is no problem. I agree annoying . . .you will just have to hop on a plane and come and see for yourself!!! (No rain here ;-))
