You might need to use your imagination for this one to work out why I have included it in this month’s spiky challenge as it wasn’t the beaks, talons or whatever they are managing to balance on!

I thought about the bricks because MY chimney serious needs repointing too!

Shame you are not closer as I’d recommend the chap who did ours a couple of years ago

How marvelous to get this shot of a pair of kestrels. Looks like the perch there quite regularly!

They do . . .their nest is opposite so this is their hunting perch, and in the past few weeks two storks have started to nest above!

How exciting to see storks too!

We’re hoping they might lay before we leave.

We’re delighted as for the past 6 years we have watched a lone stork appear on the chimney with no nest, so if they are successful this year it will be amazing 🙂

I went pretty ordinary with flowers, but green flowers.

I agree with Heyjude. I am assuming it is the bricks.

I love the warm colour of the bricks, the kestrels as point of interest.
I’ve stayed with autumn, I couldn’t help it although I am really a day late for this one: https://picturesimperfect2.wordpress.com/2019/03/18/autumn-delight/

Well if it is not the spike the kestrels are perched on, nor their beaks or talons then it has to be the bricks! I am guessing the metal band is to try and keep it stable, but someone surely needs to go up there with a bucket of mortar! I realise that on a phone or tablet it is easy to enlarge a photo, but on a computer everything on the page is affected by zooming in. Why not allow us to click on the image to see it at full size?
And on that grumpy note, I am off out into the rain… sigh!

This woman grumps everywhere, doesn’t she? 🙂 🙂 Wellies, Jude?

Still have to buy some. Had a quick visit in the rain to Penzance to do some chores, but didn’t get to the garden.

How can you not have lots and lots of wellies?!!!

High insteps make wearing wellies very painful unless I can get an inner sole in, so I need to buy a larger size.

Have you tried Jileon boots? Someone told me they are really good for high insteps.

oh dear Jo was right the grumpiness is coming out!! It must be because they are singular photos as when I create galleries there is no problem. I agree annoying . . .you will just have to hop on a plane and come and see for yourself!!! (No rain here ;-))

You can edit your singular photos and allow them to be opened at full size. I do that with a lot of mine. especially macros.
