I have enjoyed my Tuesday ‘travels and sculpture’ focus for Pink Square in September. Today I’m delving into my Algarvian archives for what is described as religious festival, but is also an extraordinary sculpture event and flower festival – Festa das Tochas Floridas in São Brás de Alportel.

Four photographs as I couldn’t decide which one was my favourite! And I am not alone in the struggle to squeeze in all the pinks. It has been quite extraordinary just how many pinks there are out there! Don’t worry if you cannot fit them all in as my final pink collation is not until Monday 1st October, so you can always add them to that post.

    1. The plan was only so I could decide how to schedule, and identify the gaps!!

Yours is gorgeous today, quite fancy walking there instead though I have festival evaluation meetings 😦

  1. Mine today is one you and Jo might recognise. And I am very happy to see multiple squares today on this beautiful sunny blur sky morning! I almost had a pink sunrise for you, but the photos turned out pretty rubbish through the window. I need to get out and either climb the hill (that’s probably not going to happen at 6:30 am) or drive to a lay-by overlooking Mount’s Bay. Your Algarvian flowers are always such a delight.

        1. Hopefully but won’t know until we get there. There are two blocks with loads of apartments so you can ask to face either way, but as every apartment faces east and west you will always get a glimmer of sunrises and sunsets no matter where you are in the block.

    1. Marilyn, your pingbacks do appear eventually, but Becky has to approve them first so they are not automatic. And if she is busy it might be days before they appear. Adding your link to a comment is fine too though. Just thought I’d let you know so you don’t have to stress about it 🙂
