A few years ago we were in north California in June, it was proving to be a hot one and so I was rather surprised to see snow still laying around in the mountains. And then we spied some I could walk on in my sandals. I was ‘tickled pink’ and I had a pink skirt on!! How could I not include this shot in this month’s Square in September.Tickled Pink in Lassen

By the way I am at Winchester’s Heritage Open Day preview event all day today and tomorrow, so it might be Monday before I catch up properly with pingbacks and comments.

  1. A great pink – I like that skirt
And I like the snow. Many, many, many years ago I was at Lake Tahoe in the summer and walked up to see the snow. I remember a friendly local dog leading the way for me 🙂
I hope your HOD preview goes well, Becky

    1. Thank you so much. We had travelled from Tahoe that morning! Beautiful place.

It is going well which is fabulous but very tiring. Another 8:30start this morning, and don’t think I’ll finish before 6 today.

      1. The last time it snowed in our city was 1984 and that was in the middle of the night and it was gone in the morning. If we see snow in our travels, it’s always a thrill. The mountains were beautiful with a vivid blue sky behind them. I have many photos of the mountains. 🙂

    1. I’ve seen it far in the distance in the summer months but not to walk on, but then guess June is very early in the summer.
