Last month as we were waiting for my brother so we could all climb a rather special hill together, my sister and Mum pointed out this fabulous house. I wasn’t too sure at the time when and how I would use the shot, but then inspiration struck. Yes it is wonky but isn’t it fabulous?! There are even roof tiles underneath the roof.

Now I hope you have poured yourself a large cup, mug or glass of something as it is time for another #RoofSquares curation. I think there are 33 to visit today.
To begin I thought I would continue with the theme of guests under or on roofs.
- I am pretty certain there are no dragons living under my roof, but there have been dragons, fans and rabbits and birds. But I wonder who lives under this roof?
- There have been at least four amazing red barn roofs this week, did you catch them all?
- And then there have been the rooves with multiple squares, very dizzy lines and those which are beautiful and incredibly detailed. There have even been some more like wedding cakes than a roof!
- And talking of celebrations and fun we have found ourselves enjoying delicious icecream, glasses of champagne and cocktails more than once!
Thought this might be a good moment to take a pause so that you can top up your cup or glass of whatever you are enjoying as you browse through the collection. See you in a moment!
- Topped up? Great then let us continue with unexpected angles, glimpses through a window and splendid entrances.
- Have you found like me that all of these marvellous pictures make you want to discover more?
- We have travelled in Europe from rural France to London, to Italy and Ireland and even a sunny Lake District.
- Not always been sunny though there have been brooding moments and atmospheric ones. It has truly been a wonderful roofing week.
- Huge thank you to everyone for your clever interpretations I am sure though that after all these incredible pictures you are ready for some honey on toast or maybe even a visit to the privy!
I love the Bug House! How charming. Maybe I should build one for my bugs (The Snail Hotel) and then they will leave my plants alone. Wishful thinking…
Well, it is a rainy day here today so I shall just go and make another cup of coffee and come back for a browse. I try to visit as many links as I can on a day to day basis, but many slip through.
I have another odd one for you today: https://smallbluegreenwords.wordpress.com/2018/06/17/june-square-roofs-17/

PS what I really loved about the bug house was it was a community one next door to a library telephone box!

What a fantastic round up of roofs, Becky, and thank you for the privy reprise. You have worked hard. Lots I’d missed too. It’s great to see how your challenge has spurred so many different and original interpretations – your bug motel not least.

Oh I’m so glad you enjoyed as you are right it did take a little while to put together. Such fun though visiting everyone again 😊

What a grand home for the tiny ones. And a lovely roof, Becky.
I’ve gone grand too, but I don’t think the creepy crawlies would be too welcome here: https://travelwithintent.com/2018/06/17/london-mayfair-bond-street-royal-arcade/

No worries, I made it 🙂 🙂 Yes- brunch out with Lisa and Leo in Nottingham, coffee with James in Leeds, a nice chat to a young American student on the coach, then home to dump one lot of gear and grab a few bits for this morning. Leaving about 9 🙂 I will give your love to Tavira.

Have to thank my Mum and sister, think I would have missed it as it was next to a phonebox library so that had all my attention!

Do we get to see the phone box library?

I knew after I said it you’d ask me that! I got so carried away looking at books I didn’t take any photos!!!! I’m hopeless.

No, I’m always getting home and finding I don’t have what I thought I did….through lack of concentration, and when the highlights are way overblown, you can’t properly rescue them, not even in RAW. This image was one, and for this web size I can get away with it. But not as a full size image. I was furious with myself

I think they are a lot less concerned about appearance & star ratings than us humans!

I wonder who stashed that collection of bits and pieces and forgot about it. Clever twist on your theme, Becky.

So glad you like. It’s not a stash though it’s an insect 🏠. Solitary bees will love it.

Yes, I can see how it would be a good bee home. 🙂
