Today I thought I’d return to some of the prettiest rooftops in the Algarve, the roofs of Tavira known as ‘Telhados de Quatro Águas’. I’ve written a post on them before and so today I am simply going to leave you with this one shot whilst I recall all the happy memories I have of looking at this view. If though you would like to see the roofs close up and discover their history do visit my Portuguese post.

It is always fascinating to look down on rooftops – I have a few lined up for the challenge. 🙂

Very nice roof image – for the moment I thought it was from Faro – very similar roofs there too: https://www.travelwaysphotos.com/Pictures-of-Portugal/Faro
* I’m a little (a lot actually…) about how to post my roofs into this challenge. Any help will be much appreciated 🙂
Thanks, Tatiana

You are linking just fine . . . and I will be soon, maybe tomorrow, be linking back to you 🙂
And yes the Faro roofs are very similar. Once faro had as many as Tavira.

We don’t have any roofs like that there. Beautiful.
Here is my entry for the day.

Lovely pantile roofs, Becky – all the subtle differences in terracotta shades. Here are bits of our garden roof sheds plus garden: https://tishfarrell.com/2018/06/07/welcome-to-the-sunset-garden-with-privy-view/

Many thanks, Becky. This is the first year I’ve felt really really pleased with it. It’s not big but it’s all over the place and on different levels.

I wondered when the Portuguese roofs would appear. I may have one or two for you, but not today.

For once Portugal is only going to have a little look in! Not sure why, I think I was having too much fun with the archives.

Ah and so many delightful Portuguese roofs too. Do you have one of Hampton Court? Kaz was enquiring.

You really like the old word for roofs don’t you? 😀 😀 Mindst you it makes more sense when we use hooves and not hoofs although in that case hoofs is the older form. Grammar eh!

That really is lovely. I had a painter friend who lived in Portugal for some years and had about a dozen paintings of the rooves in the town.
