It is day one of #JuneSquares and it also happens to be my fabulous Mum’s Birthday and so I thought I’d start with where Mum, my siblings and I were a year ago today. Some of you may remember where we were as many of the photographs from our day out ended up in our very first Square Challenge.

We had a fabulous day at Kew, but unless you saw the previews it probably isn’t that obvious from my header nor my square what the theme is this month! Well the theme is ROOFS (or rooves if you prefer!). Your roof can be;
- any type, any condition, any size, and in any location.
- it could be a shot across rooftops, of one roof like today or even a macro
- you might prefer to spend some time under the eaves and in the attic, or enjoy the view from above as Brian has already done today. It’s a stunner so do pop across and say hi.
Today I’m not above but in front, and not a tile in sight. I thought instead I’d look at a glass roof, and in fact I’ve decided to keep to glass for most of the week ahead.
By the way although I will be posting daily as this is a daily challenge,you are free to post alternate days, once a week or as and when the roof strikes you. My posts will appear early morning with the tag #RoofSquares, and I will do my best to visit your posts daily.
I am also hoping to accept pingbacks quickly, but please bear with me if I take a while as this is a very busy month for me what with planning Heritage Open Days, trips away and a wedding! In fact I must dash shortly to a meeting, but before I go here’s another shot. This time of the Birthday Girl at Kew.

I am fond of that crop on a lot of my pictures.

Great to have more squares! Happy birthday to your mom. Since we are looking at roofs, here is a little guy sitting on a roof and looking down: https://picturesimperfect2.wordpress.com/

Quite an impressive start, and there’s me thinking it would be a Portuguese roof to begin with. I will link mine up shortly. And Happy birthday to your mum, you taking her out to lunch?

Happy Square June, Becky, and a very happy birthday to Mum! 🙂 🙂 I guess that guarantees you at least one day off- out to lunch with her? Give her my love, hope you find the shoes, and I’ll catch you when I can. All going a little pear-shaped here. Hugs!

There is a Glass coseritory Of Flowers in Golden Gate Park that looks a lot like this glass house. Don’t throw any stones. 😉

ooh I keep thinking of stones too!

Glad to be back! Love the greenhouse. Why are greenhouses not called glass houses? I know green things live inside, but they ARE made of glass, right? just saying 😉

Hee hee – it is bizarre isn’t it! And actually this one probably is a glasshouse rather than a greenhouse 😊
