oh that’s so true . . . it’s one of the reasons when we move I want a house with a proper view so I can fully appreciate the sky. Bit too hemmed in where we are now, and so difficult to appreciate it.
1967. We were traveling by ship and I believe we sailed up the Tagus River.. saw the monument to the discoverers at Belem, Lisbon, and not sure where else. Perhaps nowhere else. We went on to Spain–Madrid and Sevilla, the Alhambra.
I do have some but not sure if there are any of Portugal. It was a different time…no selfies! I think I have some slides in the garage. I have a converter but haven’t opened it. Ordered it online and had a friend bring it down but haven’t even opened it. Not sure where it is. Converts slides to computer.
They are amazing those convertor things, but it is time consuming so not surprised you haven’t opened it yet! Have fun though when you do . . I found I spent as much time enjoying the slides and memories as I did actually converting!!
That’s a pretty one. 🙂 🙂 Crisp here! I went hand delivering cards, planning to take some snowy photos but it didn’t happen. Shame cos the sky’s gorgeous.
Now that’s more like it, I have enough of the grey skies here! Although saying that today it is very blue. And very windy!! In contrast I have gone dark today. Let’s just say it was a bit TOO windy on Saturday night.
Hee hee . . think there is no grey now for quite a while 🙂 well apart from the actual grey that is covering Hampshire today. No snow, just very wet and windy, albeit not as bad as last night. Was awful wasn’t it.
Is anything in nature more changeable than the sky? Looking at these photos proves it! Here is my first contribution for your challenge: https://judydykstrabrown.com/2017/12/12/wyoming-sunrise/

I notice sunsets most at the beach where there are no obstructions. It is a daily rite to collect at the beach and watch.

Oh you are so lucky. Another month for us before we’re back beside the sea.

We spend out winters in southern Portugal, just got delayed by a few weeks this year unfortunately.

Lovely. Portugal was the first foreign country I was ever in, other than Mexico.

I love you choice of purple for Monday. I’m on a train to Manchester at the moment and the light is gorgeous. Sadly, the windows are very dirty!

Thank you Debbie 🙂 When I was a little girl I remember writing to the PM at the time about dirty windows on trains!

Not as bad here as Saturday night. I have witnessed a few storms down here, but that was definitely the worst.

Horrid – hope no damage and more importantly noone was hurt. I still recall the night of the hurricane in 87, now that was scary.
