I have been caught in a rain storm whilst here in the USA but completely failed to take a picture, so here’s a video taken from my old house. It poured that day. I can still recall Robert and I watching the small river run down the other side of the street.
Posted as part of Debbie’s One Word Sunday; my header is from Portugal in another rainstorm.

I love the sound of rain – as long as I’m inside!
My bedroom is in the roof so I often fall asleep to a downpour

I’ll be learning how to do that too this winter ☺️

I’m back late on 6 Nov unless I get any more flight cancellations. So late November will hopefully work. Or early December.

sounds like a plan as my diary is relatively free from late November until mid December.

I so love the sound of rain. I don’t hear it that often, even though I live in Oregon. 😀

at the moment is is rare not to hear it in England, I am going to have such a shock on my return!

Oregon rain is usually soft and gentle. So you don’t hear it often. 😀

What a downpour! Your header photo looks less ominous.

It was a similar ferocity, but you are right in the picture doesn’t look like it – think I may have taken the shot afterwards

It certainly was (when you are inside watching it!)

Much nicer to be inside than outside on a day like that.

One of the worst squalls we ever experienced, but great to watch from inside!

it really was – we were glad though our house wasn’t at bottom of hill!

We were quite high up in our UK home and it’s the same here. Useful at times, but not so much when you’re walking back.

I do feel for that figure in black! I have had that experience all too often in Glasgow.

Fortunately not happened too often to me but when it does . . .. why is it when I don’t have the full waterproofs on and because of commitments have no choice but to keep walking
